The principal, ANCOM on Murray Inc. seeks the assistance of a mature, multiskilled, physically fit person to assist him in the development of a new Vocational Training College. Teacher or Trainer assessor qualified is desirable. Boat skills essential.
- Australian Cruise Academy - is contracted to and sponsored by a cruise company working foreign cruise ships on the Australian coast and into the South Pacific. Academy will provide Australian Accredited Residential Academy training onboard cruise ship in all aspects of tourism, hospitality, care services and associated industries.
- College on Murray - in preliminary planning to establish a riverfront campus on the Murray near Mannum in South Australia, expected by January 2020.

ROLE DESCRIPTION: Principal's assistant
- This role is a unique opportunity for a confident person to shadow and assist the Principal in all aspects of his role, including care services and physical assistance when requested. The Principal is a little disabled with arthritis.
- Some travel with the Principal will be required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- A willing, helping attitude including personal help if requested.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with Academy staff and students, and an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Electronic communication and data management skills
- A commitment to promoting and creating a safe and inclusive work environment; and the legislative requirements of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety legislation
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- A mature age person who has a broad experience of life including a family or experience in care for young adults
- A commitment to becoming fully engrossed in the success of the new Collegiate Resort based Vocational College
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A mature-aged person with appropriate boat skills experience is desirable
- Evidence of having worked with young people in a mentoring role including working with children police clearance (or can qualify for one).
- These can be achieved within the apprenticeship
- Care Services skills
- Experience with boats - Coxswain 1 preferable
- Certificate TAEIV Training and assessment
SALARY & CONDITIONS NEGOTIABLE: In line with an experienced teacher.
LOCATION: Administration base at the marina resort near Mannum on the Murray River.
